Enrolled Agents are federally-authorized tax professionals who have technical expertise in the field of taxation and who are empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections and appeals. Enrolled Agents prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, corporations, trusts and estates. They act on behalf of taxpayers in whatever problems they might have with the IRS or state departments of revenue. Enrolled Agents can also provide accounting, bookkeeping, financial services and tax planning for individuals and businesses.

Association of Enrolled Agents, promotes the professional status of its membership through quality education, politically-savvy legislative representation and public awareness.
